Project planner

Start your project

A few short questions about what you’re building, then how to reach you. Only your name and a phone number or email are required; the rest helps us come to the first conversation prepared.

What are we building?

Pick the closest fit. You can change it later.

Tell us about the project

Everything here is optional. Answer what you know and skip the rest.

A few sentences is plenty: what it is, roughly how big, where it will live, and whether it’s part of a larger remodel or new build.

Which woods do you like?

Optional. Pick any that appeal, or choose Not sure and we’ll help you decide.

Swatches are representative samples. Every real board looks a little different.

When do you need it, and what budget?

Optional. Rough answers help us plan the first conversation.

When would you like it done?

A move-in, a holiday, a closing. Roughly is fine.

What budget do you have in mind?

This helps us suggest the right wood and construction. It isn’t a commitment.

Skip the budget for wood slab work or for doors and drawer boxes.

Add photos

Optional. Your room, a sketch, or a picture of something you like. Up to 5.

How do we reach you?

Only your name and one way to reach you are required.

How should we reach you?

A phone number or an email. One is enough.

How do you prefer we reach you? (optional)

What helps us most

None of it has to be perfect, and all of it can come later.

  • Photos of the space Wide shots of the whole wall or room, plus close-ups of anything tricky: outlets, vents, windows, a sloped ceiling.
  • Rough measurements Wall lengths and ceiling height are plenty to start. Within a foot or two is fine.
  • Pictures you like Saved photos, a magazine page or a quick sketch all help us see what you’re after.
  • How you use the room What has to fit, who uses it every day, and what bothers you about it now.
  • Drawings, if there are any Building or remodeling? We work from your designer’s or architect’s drawings, or alongside your builder.

Questions

About the planner

Do I need exact measurements?

No. Rough numbers are fine to start, and within a foot or two is close enough for a first conversation. We’ll go over the space with you at the consultation.

What if I’m not sure which wood I want?

Pick Not sure, help me choose on the wood step and we’ll talk it through with you. If you’d like to look first, the wood guide compares 13 woods side by side, and your answers here stay saved while you’re there.

Can I send photos after I send this?

Yes. Email or text them using the contact details on this page, and put your name in the message so we can match them to your project.
