The build

What we built

Matching nightstands in a medium brown stain, each with an overhanging top, one drawer with no visible hardware, paneled sides and an open lower shelf. The shop photo shows a drawer pulled out to reveal dovetailed corners in a lighter wood, with the second case behind it.

Details worth a closer look

  • Dovetailed drawers The drawer corners are dovetailed, in a lighter wood than the case.
  • No visible hardware The drawer fronts are plain, with no pulls on the face.
  • Paneled sides Each case has paneled sides and an open shelf below the drawer.
  • Overhanging top The top overhangs the case, and the legs taper on the inside edge.
